Based in Southern California, Annette specializes in working with venues throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, developing strong venue partnerships and creating exceptional experiences for their clients. Her expertise extends well beyond weddings, with a background in corporate events, large-scale celebrations, weddings, memorial services, and events of all kinds.

As the visionary behind Wheat & Honey Events, Annette is known for her keen eye for detail, creative approach, dedication to her clients, and ability to transform a vision into an unforgettable experience. Her extensive venue and event-industry relationships throughout Southern California have become an invaluable part of the Wheat & Honey experience.

Katie Connell

Partner | Texas Director | Sales & Events Director at River Road Venue 

In 2021, Katie Connell relocated to Texas with her husband and three boys, bringing the Wheat & Honey brand and its bi-coastal expertise to the Texas market.

With a background in event planning, sales, venue development, and client experience, Katie has become an integral part of the company's growth and expansion. She has cultivated strong relationships with top wedding venues, corporate clients, and event professionals throughout North Texas, helping establish Wheat & Honey Events as a trusted name in the Texas event industry.

Katie currently serves as the Sales & Events Director for River Road Venue, where she has played a pivotal role in developing and growing the property into an exclusive estate experience centered around high-end planning, elevated hospitality, and exceptional client service.

Through her work at River Road, Katie has developed an in-depth understanding of what it takes to successfully operate and elevate a wedding venue—from sales and client relationships to vendor partnerships, event logistics, property development, and the overall guest experience.

Katie's approach combines strategic organization with a genuine passion for people, ensuring that every client feels supported, every detail has purpose, and every event feels uniquely their own.
